INVESTMENT IN RENEWABLE ENERGY STILL LACKING IN 17 COUNTRIES IN SOUTH AND EASTERN EUROPE, THE CAUCASUS AND CENTRAL ASIA
The 17 UNECE countries in South and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia represented only 0.2% or USD 0.4 billion of global renewable energy investment in 2015. despite comprising over 300 million inhabitants and representing 4.9% of the world’s GDP Attracting investment represents a major challenge in these countries, even with numerous advanced support schemes and policies for renewable energy present.

THE WINNERS OF THE ART PROJECT “YOUTH – FUTURE ENERGY” WAS ANNOUNCED IN ASTANA
The opening of an exhibition and an awarding ceremony of the art competition “Youth – Future Energy” was held at the EXPO Congress center on 11 June in Astana.
The project was initiated by the “KAZENERGY” Association in collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs, and with the support from the Children’s Music School №1, Astana – UNESCO Club in the framework of the International exhibition “EXPO-2017”.

Why this keystone was configured in the shape of a woman?
Because, if we remove women from our lives, our existence will collapse, too…” *
Each year on March 8 the world celebrates the International Women’s Day, and salutes women around the world for their perpetual struggles to reinforce their civic rights. The world fully recognizes the enormous contributions that the women have made to our civilizations, first and foremost, by elevating the standards of our society. On this day the focus is on the rich potential of women which is a cherished gift for humanity. The world extends gratitude to women for this blessing. On this occasion we are conscious about the perpetual need to eliminate the hurdles that impede women from achieving their exalted goals.
